This change to stun has rendered my ranger character almost useless. I will now have to spend most of my time sleeping again, just like a low level ranger. this will slow leveling to a crawl. May I suggest that if you are going to emasculate rangers this way that you at least give them a decent damage spell.

you realize how much damage a ranger can do with ONE bow shot? although i do think stun is somewhat broken to, but seriously, get bow prof up and use bows, so nice, one made autoload stuff to, its nice.

But I thought you couldn't even get rid of all your movement? Weird...
Seriously, this change is hardly even a factor. Now Rangers just need to make sure they have more than 30phys focus to be effective. Try using something other than stun?
If you are REALLY wanting a cool damage spell option...try getting up some conjure prof, and use projectile. You need to get it up to 50-75 before you can rely on it, but if you have decent int, it can do great damage. Otherwise, don't forget truestrike, even with a low damage-proccing weapon, you can still lay out a couple hundred damage per round.
Rangers STILL amazing

The change is quite small. Rangers should not be able to spam stun for 45 minutes, anyway.

I believe the affect of the change to stun for higher level rangers is larger than you realize. Even doing regular xp mobs that take a little time to kill, I agree with Kermyt you can spend more time regenning move than health.
Stun is the staple of the Ranger, so suggesting using something else doesnt seem right, although at my level the success rate of stun isnt so great anyway.
Anyway, I will make two suggestions. The regen rate for movement is much lower than that for health. I think an effective solution would be to bring this up a bit so at least if you do run out of move you dont have to rest forever to get it back.
Secondly, I believe you are aware that there is a bug that lets mobs attack when stunned (ranger stun at least). It would be appreciated if this was corrected. Then a more selective useage of stun would still give the intended results.
Nick and I discussed before this change that move for Ranger was kinda silly. I have over 4K move and never, never got anywhere close to using even half of it. So I do not suggest going back to the way things were. I do, however, humbly suggest that you make a few more tweaks.

Ok... archery seems to suck, please correct me if I am missing somthing... (I may be missing much by what people are saying). but a simple solution might be to give rangers a way of trading mana for move. like cure but for movement. I am not certain if this is the perfect solution, but it looks good on paper

I am now level 117 and my conjuration prof is 5%. There are no ranger spells that practice conjuration, are there?

summon food, and summon water work conjure. What bow and what arrows were you using? That plays a huge part.
Archaro: I still am in disagreement, especially coming from somone who has a reality weaver whip and truestrike.
The problem is, people get in the habit of thinking their class should kill everything equally as good. Being selective with targets is part of the high-level gaming experience.
Rangers need to find targets they can entangle and take down rapidly. I use stun once per fight at level 94, and I haven't even been using truestrike because I don't have an appropriate weapon wielded. I still get 8% exp and have to CURE (not rest) every 4 fights unless things go way haywire. I don't rest normally.
Move regen seems lower than hp because you probably don't have 50 conjure and you probably DO have 75endure. Also, the regen is based on dex and total movement...which your dex is lower than your con and your total movement is lower than your hp.
Try and find things outdoors as it will boost regen ability.
these are random tips to try and remind you that you might be too hasty in being so negative.
I am in agreement that the bug where stun fades right after stun is semi annoying, but it's actually very small in overall impact IMO.

Two things: I don't think that Ive been 'so negative' or overly hasty. I never said you destroyed the Ranger, I just pointed out that a big change was made, not a minor one, and I suggested a little tweaking due to my belief that the change was a little too much.
Secondly, the stun bug would not seem that big to someone who admittedly uses stun very infrequently. However we all play differently and choose our tactics for our own reasons. If effort is going to be made to fix things that are thought to be too powerful I thought it appropriate to request that a bug Ive been dealing with be fixed.
I look forward to you playing a high level ranger so we'll really have things to compare.

Didn't mean to be like, YOU were so negative...but people in general tend to be very grim about changes when they first happen (myself included) until a little while later when they realize that with slight modification to their strategy, they end up being not much worse off (if any) for it. Sometimes it even teaches you that there was a better way to do things all along.
Again, mainly was trying a pre-emptive strike on negativity. While kermyt is a bit dramatic, I'm not saying either of you are being too horrible, just trying to be a bit cheery.
