I think anything that is a golem or mechanical, like the merchant ships while sailing, should be immune to certain affects, like poison, fear, roar, weakness and blood boil.
Also, certain spells should have the some affect on them..... . For example, acid blast should cause cumulative damage to a mech's to hit ability and electrical damage could cause damage to a mech's regen ability.

Mechs don't receive damage from poison and such. The affect still hits them but nothing results from it unless there is a debuff associated with the poison, such as -2 str, which some have. Same deal with golems, undead etc for the most part. Not a bad idea to make alternate effects though.
