Since I don't want to organize it, I'll start making a list of stuff I found out across my travels but didn't know for a long time that might help people out. Big thanks to Dread.
Status command is hot for checking your buffs.
Weapon proficiencies at 50% provide a passive no matter what weapon you use, it's not restricted!
Help north and Help south show a little map of the world!
Help subzones shows where all the new cool stuff is!
