A force of undead invaded the kingdom of Zypos. The royal family was kept captive, and a band of heroes went into action. They killed off the majority of the spectral forces before arriving at the palace, where they fought past some fearsome headless horsemen to save the family. Nepa, the elderly queen of Zypos told them of a tall, limping figure with a pumpkin head who lead the forces as they appeared inside the town. The adventurers took the word of this villain over the hunch of Prince Temeko and ventured into Talroh to find him. The pumpkin king, as he insisted on being called, got away by using some sort of portalling ability. The king rewarded the adventuring party with a fortune of gold. The pumpkin king's pumpkin hat was found in Nepa's room, where the pumpkin king must have been hiding out while he was preparing his portal spell.
